Location

Palazzo Rosso covers a total land area of 18.000 sqm where we find the ancient noble farmmhouse with the adjoining tower, the park, the swimming pool with the relaxion area and the changing rooms, the spa area, the children’s playground, the private on-site parking and the agriculture land area. The entire farmhouse is fully wheelchair accessible.

The farmhouse has been completely renovated respecting the original architecture. It is spread over two floors. On the ground floor there are the entrance hall, the catering area and the spa centre. The entrance hall, where we are pleased to welcome you, is characterized by an old column of the eighteenth centrury belonging to the original buiding. It is entirely composed of lava stone and it is placed in the centre of the entrance supporting a vaulted ceiling where you can see the grooves of the canes that were used to shape it.

The area dedicated to the catering derives from the old workshop and the millstone. It is formed by the hall, the restaurant hall, the bar area and spacious kitchens that on request you can visit to admire its vaulted ceiling.

Guest rooms and the spa area are on the second floor. The access to the welness centre is through a wooden path that leads to a panoramic view tower where a jacuzzi for six people is located. The “tower” that once was owned by Enel (a leading owner of renevable energy) has glass roof and glass walls through which you can admire Taormina, Etna and Ionian sea. In the evening, while you relax in the whirpool you can see the lights of the coast and an impressive starry sky thanks to the glass roof.

Then, you go down to the ground floor taking a lift where two saunas and chromotherapy showers are offered to you. Finally, the wellness program can be completed by a bathroom in the salt water summer pool.

The garden is populated not only by fruit trees but also by majestic ornamental trees including a monumental cedar of Lebanon that is a dying tree, an Aleppo pine and a casuarina. These trees that grow up to ten meters high are protected species and they are reported in the maps of the place.

In the park you can admire a beautiful Jacaranda with its mauve flowers, a leafy wild mulberry, a Whashingtonia palm with the trunk entirely wrapped in wild ivy and different flowering plants including in particular the “plumeria” or frangipani. It is a plant that is native to tropical countries and it has found an ideal climate to grow extensively in our area and to become one of the symbols of our town. Today it is called “Città delle Pomelie” (the Town of Plumeria).

The entrance hall and the private parking are located on the east side. The common areas are under continued video surveillance to guarantee your security.
